1. A specific detail statement of Past, Present and Future activities of
my organization (RGH).
In the Past, The RGH began assembling a working group in 2007 (many of
whom are a part of the Board). This working group served as a “think tank”
for the development of our mission statement, and other start up activities.
The working group began researching (best practice housing initiatives)
locally and nationally that provide “work forcing housing” to low to
moderate income persons. These programs were reviewed, and archived in
order to choose the important. Additionally, the working group visited many
of the programs that were operated locally in order to become better
acquainted with their activities.
Presently, RGH gives presentations to local area churches and discusses the
salient points of our program to agencies, in order to develop strategic
alliances and partners where applicable.
Future Activities: The RGH is recruiting additional board members, and
providing board training, developing marketing materials so that RGH can
effectively tell our story in order to recruit prospective homeowners.
Additionally, we are developing a database of clients and homes. We are
currently revising and modifying our work plan, and developing a business
plan to include a pro-forma. Also, we are developing relevant homeowner
workshops that will allow our prospective homeowners, once they become
homeowners to be able to stay in their homes.
2. A statement about Fundraising Strategy for my organization (RGH).
Once the work plan, business plan and pro forma are completed. The RGH
is contracting with consultants to assist with identifying public, private and
federal dollars that can be leveraged toward our work. In addition to
agencies that we will partner with that will provide additional services.
